ERRORS ARE ALWAYS A CHANCE TO IMPROVE THINGS

Errors generally have to be avoided by using preventative methods such as FMEA or internal audits. However, if they do occur, they should by no means happen a second time. We can achieve that through:

  • The use of respective preventative methods such as 8D reports and evaluating the cause and effect of problems/incidents that have occurred by means of error analysis.
  • Targeted employee information and communication
  • Targeted employee training and advanced training
  • Strict implementation of continuous improvements
SUSTAINABILITY

We are aware of the fact that our actions must be in harmony with the economy and the environment, and that we have a responsibility towards society, particularly in regard to future generations. That is why keeping an eye on health and safety as well as the economical use of resources and the cleanliness of the environment are basic principles of the company. Environmental awareness is a natural component of everything we do, irrespective of whether it concerns investments, changes in process cycles or the development of products. Adhering to current environmental laws and regulations is standard for us.

PROCESSES

We devise our processes in accordance with economic aspects in such a way as to ensure that health and safety are a priority and that the impact on the environment is kept to an absolute minimum. Nevertheless, we are prepared for all types of accidents and breakdowns. And that is the basis on which we work together with our suppliers and service providers.

RESPONSIBILITY

It is the responsibility of all employees to avoid danger for man and environment at all times, and to adhere to laws and regulations on health, safety and the environment. Furthermore, it is an executive function to identify hazards, to evaluate them and to take the appropriate measures.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS

We continuously check our processes and conduct, and we monitor and measure the impacts on man and the environment. In that way we are able to identify weak points and opportunities for improvement, and can devise an effective programme for health and safety and environmental protection.

In order to achieve the fundamentals of the company policy, respective goals have been defined for every relevant level and function, and the respective programmes for their implementation been put in place. The adherence to the programme is monitored continuously with so-called Balanced Scorecards (BSC).
